Dynamics of a delayed CHIKV infection model with cell-to-cell transmission

Abstract: The aim of this work is to present a generalized Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) infection model with general incidence rate and two time delays. The stability of the infection-free equilibrium and the chronic infection equilibrium is analyzed by using the linearization method and by constructing appropriate Lyapunov functionals. Also, the existence of Hopf bifurcation is rigorously investigated. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the analytical results.
