Abstract: In this work, we investigate the interacting behaviour of prey-predator model using the prey switching. We define an approach pairing mass bal- ance relationships with principles of optimal foraging theory. This model is based on the utility function of their diet (the energy gain), being con- strained by balance equations between biomass and trophic flow. Our results prove that the most significant joint strategies can be interpreted as a solution of Nash equilibrium problem.
